Someone explain to me: Identity
Why do you need to identify as something so badly?
Why do you also need to respect what other people identify as?
LIke, there is a big difference between what you identify as, and what you actually are.
Like, you could identify as an otter- but you’re still human, and you’ll always be human.
You could identify as a different race, but that dosen’t make you that race. It just dosen’t.
Like, did people just lose common sense?
we just don’t know.
Seriously though, why can’t people just be themselves. Like, for example- I’m male, but that’s not all I am. I’m hispanic, but that’s not all I am. I’m gay, but that’s not all i am.
There’s a lot more to me then what I identify as or what my race/species/sexuality/gender is. What I identify as does not matter, because what I identify as does not encompass my whole experience as a living being on this planet. I’m just more interesting then that, and you are too. Fuck man, we’re all interesting as fuck.
